Q: What areas do you service?
A: We serve all of Ohio, with primary hubs in North Royalton, Strongsville, Parma, Brunswick, Brecksville, Broadview Heights, Independence, Medina, and Richfield. For state or commercial projects, we travel statewide.
Q: Do you offer free estimates?
A: Yes — free estimates are available within a 30-minute radius of North Royalton. For projects beyond that radius, a consultation fee may apply. This ensures we dedicate proper time and resources to every site visit.
Q: Do you offer warranties on your work?
A: Yes. We stand behind our projects with strong warranties:
Q: Are you insured and licensed?
A: Absolutely. A&M General Services is fully insured, and our team is trained for safety and compliance on residential, commercial, and state projects.
Q: Do retaining walls need drainage?
A: Yes. Every wall requires drainage to relieve water pressure. We use #57 limestone backfill, perforated drain tile, and geogrid reinforcement when required.
Q: How long will a retaining wall last?
A: With proper construction and drainage, walls can last 20–50 years or more.
Q: What’s the maximum height before engineering is required?
A: Most municipalities allow up to 3–4 feet without an engineer’s stamp. Walls taller than that usually require engineering and permits.
Q: What’s better: stamped concrete or pavers?
A: Both are excellent options. Stamped concrete is cost-effective and customizable, while pavers allow for easy repair and have a timeless look.
Q: How long does concrete take to cure?
A: Walkable in 24–48 hours, but full cure takes 28 days. Heavy loads or furniture should wait at least 7 days.
Q: Do you reinforce your concrete work?
A: Yes. We use fiber reinforcement, wire mesh, and saw-cut joints to reduce cracking and ensure durability.
Q: Can you widen my driveway?
A: Yes. Driveway extensions and apron widening are common projects. We also handle sidewalks, steps, and ADA-compliant ramps.
Q: Do you install gas, water, and electric for outdoor kitchens?
A: Yes. We coordinate utilities to ensure your outdoor kitchen is fully functional with grills, sinks, refrigerators, and lighting.
Q: Can you design the landscaping around my patio or kitchen?
A: Absolutely. We provide full design with plantings, mulch, decorative rock, edging, and low-voltage lighting to complete your outdoor space.
Q: What is your plow trigger depth?
A: Our commercial contracts are set to a 2-inch plow trigger. Crews are dispatched once accumulation reaches that level.
Q: Do you salt sidewalks and entrances?
A: Yes. Sidewalk shoveling and calcium chloride salting can be included in your contract.
Q: How do seasonal contracts work?
A: We require a deposit, followed by monthly billing. Routes close by September 30th for planning and salt orders.
Q: Do you handle ice storms and freezing rain?
A: Yes. We provide pre-treatment and de-icing services to keep lots and walkways safe during freezing rain and ice events.
Q: Do you remove stumps as well as trees?
A: Yes. We provide full stump grinding and restore the area with soil, seed, and straw.
Q: Do I need a permit for tree removal?
A: Most residential removals do not require permits. Larger trees, hazard trees, or those in easements may need approval. We’ll guide you through the process.
Q: Do you offer emergency tree removal?
A: Yes. We provide storm and hazard tree removals 7 days a week.
Q: Can I keep the logs for firewood?
A: Yes. Upon request, we can cut logs to length and leave them neatly stacked.
